Kids Against Combs : ウィキペディア英語版 | Kids Against Combs
Kids Against Combs are a politically charged band from Brooklyn, New York, United States.〔Massimo, Rick. (July 28, 2005) Providence Journal Bulletin. ''(Music - Music scene - Van Vleet monkeyed around and came up with Cirque. )'' Section: Live This Weekend; Page L12.〕 The band, described as "indie agit-popsters", has songs that include "Counterfeit Shoegazers" and "False Prescription". The band is fronted by "Degal", a graduate student in political science at St. John's University. Their album ''Sean Hannity (631) 673-8003'' was due to be released on July 21, 2005 from 10-34 Records. The album was named for conservative Fox News Channel commentator Sean Hannity and his home phone number.〔UWIRE (August 31, 2005) ''North Carolina State University: Editorial: Network exposes identity.''〕 This attracted legal threats from Hannity's attorneys, and Hannity got a new, unlisted phone number. The band renamed the album ''The Album Formerly Known As Sean Hannity's Phone Number. According to Rich Van Vleet, "What that band is doing, no one else is doing. ... Conor Oberst (of Bright Eyes) sort of does it, but way more in an emotional, self-loathing type way. ... It goes way beyond simple spoof. What Kids Against Combs are trying to do is awaken an entire generation and say, 'Gosh! Look around you! You have rights!'"〔 ==Notes==
